Do you still believe that Japan is a rich country? It may be true up to the angle you see, but the fact that some people die from starvation will cast a strong doubt to you.
In north Kyushu city, a 52 years old man died alone at home from starvation. He was writing a diary in which he wrote, "I want to eat a rice ball."
It is said that he was getting the daily life protection, but it was cut in April of this year.
The North Kyushu city explained the reason why they stopped to provide the final protection, "When we recommended the person to work, he said yes."
However, in the diary, the person was writing the dissatisfaction about the terrible treatment.
This sort of event is not the first time in this city, actually.
"Beautiful country, Japan". This slogan is often emphasized by the current government, but citizens start to get aware of the true meaning. Japanese citizens start to notice that the slogan is useful in punch line.

hello Shogo
Can the DPJ do something to shed more light on the pension scam or are they powerless until the lower house election? With the announced multi-billions of US$ for military spending to Israel and arab states, the stench of war is really strong. I expect the LDP to use the coming war as a distraction to keep the public mind away from local problems, while they lax the constitution so that they can spill J blood for Exxon, Dutch Shell and British Petroleum in the next oil wars. Will the anger of J citizens still be strong enough to have an effect in the next election or will they be more interested by the next haircut trend of 浜崎あゆみ ?
Horiemon also said that J was the most communist country in the world, and his comments about the media mogul being more powerfull than the J prime minister makes sense.

His comment about "money is all" is only half correct as it is all about power and money is half of it, the other being the political power. The most classic exemple is Pablo Escobar, the biggest drug dealer of his time, he was one of the richest in the world and his power was gigantic, even if he could bribe politicians, it was not enough power, he wanted more power, so he played the savior of the poor with his money and got elected as a deputy in Colombia's congress. All the money in the world is never enough, it total power, total control over society.

When a poor political man get to power, he covets money, the best exemple is the super corrupted Jean-Bertrand Aristide

Political power and money power are two faces of the same coin, they are bind together, it is always comical to see "the mind-controllers in charge of the television stations" (as Horiemon puts it) hide reality to maintain the illusion that elections are worth something, just like the childish Santa Claus illusion. When an illusion fades a little and a small piece of reality is exposed, they call it a scandal. It prooves that the job of a political man is to lie, it is his main purpose: there is no such thing as peak oil, Santa Claus is real, global warming is man made, pension money was not stolen, "Beautiful country Japan".

US pushing for Iraq draft oil law

Interview with Raed Jarrar, an Iraqi consultant to the American Friends Service committee, about the oil draft law currently being discussed in the Iraqi parliament. On the other hand they see this oil law as a disaster for the future of Iraq because it gives away the country's oil to foreign companies and it decentralizes the decision-making process for contract signing inside in a way that threatens Iraq's unity. But over the past month they have been pushing for the oil law which has to do with the interests of multinational oil companies and the separatist Iraqi's agenda.

Usually, it takes fifty years (75 years in some cases) to publicly release government secret documents without any censorship, and when military information about the u.s. nuclear arsenal validate the testimony of the high rank iraqi military about the use of neutron bombs, it will give the public a different perspective of the effect of DU (depleted uranium) dust. DU is used in ammo to replace lead because of it's density
http://cseserv.engr.scu.edu/StudentWebPages/IPesic/ResearchPaper.htm
When the DU bullet move inside the cannon, the friction create DU dust, and when hitting a target, the DU bullet breaks, and is fragmented in very small parts, almost dust, and those breathing that dust get cancer. Korey Rowe is still coughing blood because he unvoluntarily breathed DU dust when he was in Iraq.
US offers Iraq cancer and deformity

The Iraqi environment minister has blamed the use of depleted uranium weapons by US troops during Operation Shock and Awe for the current surge in cancer cases across the country. According to Nermin Othman as a result of at least 350 sites in Iraq being contaminated with depleted uranium (DU) weapons during bombings, 'the nation is facing some 140,000 cases of cancer; with 7,000 to 8,000 new ones registered each year'.

This order [i.e. capitalism] is now bound to the technical and economic conditions of machine production which today determine the lives of all the individuals who are born into this mechanism, not only those directly concerned with the economic acquisition, with irresistible force.
Perhaps it will so determine them until the last ton of fossilized coal is burnt.
