Is English Business Getting Difficult in Japan? The largest English Language School's Bad Business

Nova Corp., the nation's largest English-language school chain, was ordered by the government Wednesday to partially suspend business for six months for lying to customers about its services. Nova will be banned from selling long-term contracts for language lessons starting Thursday, officials of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said. Japan Times reported it today.

There are so many English schools in Japan, but this school is well known over years. However, it seems that they have been focusing on their business much more than the quality of their English class.

It is said that this company, Nova, has created a manual to handle claims by customers. This means that they knew what they have done.

English has been a big business industry in Japan, but recently, some English schools have been closed down. One of the problems will be the cost and the development of cheaper ways to learn on internet.

As you may know, Japan's English education is quite terrible and proved to be a waste of time over decades. Ironically, teachers in schools have been showing it. Therefore, that sort of private school has been popular though not sure for future.

I feel that we can see a kind of capitalism in their business system. They have to keep on providing fantasies for people to earn with good reasons. Effect is not the first priority, but the money is the king. English language schools in Japan know it quite well.

The society where supply is far over demand will show lousy parts of the capitalism. In essence, I personally feel that companies will do anything to survive.

I'm not a supporter of communism at all. It seems that history already showed it is wrong. However, the capitalism is also on the turning point.

I feel that next policy will be "harmonism" that added good, tender, or etc humanity to the capitalism, but it will not be achieved so soon.

I have never heard of harmonism before, but you might want to have a look at
http://capitalism3.com

George Orwell is famous for his 1948 book "1984", but his less known book "Animal Farm" is about ANIMALism, where the story reminds me of those stories made by Jean de la Fontaine because the humans are replaced by animals.

It shows how communism works with many historicals cues, except the word communism is replaced by animalism. It is most comical to see young readers miss the cues about communism and when asked what is animalism, they says "animalism is capitalism". It goes to show how both capitalism and communism are just two different ways to achieve the same goal. That goal is shown in the book, it is just 80 pages and easy to read.

George Orwell did propaganda "journalism" for the BBC during the second world war. The main male character in his "1984" novel is himself!

Right now, the so called american capitalism is not capitalism at all, it's corporatism. Corporatism is the same thing as fascism.
In the 1987 "wall street" movie, the main character says "we make the rules, the news, war, peace, famine, upheaval and the price per paper clip. you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you? it's the free market."
Well, he's right, almost all of CIA directors were wall street bankers.
Prescott Bush was a banker that did money laundering for the nazy, up until 1952 when the government took over the bank to stop it and Bush was given 1.5 million $US (huge amount of money in 1952) for compensation. His sons were in the CIA. A lot of former nazy agents worked for the CIA after the war to fight communism.
J.P. Morgan was for fascism and funded nazy, so did Henry Ford.

In 1961, the president Eisenhower warns american citizens of danger the military industrial complex. In my opinion, this is the single most important of all speeches made by any modern american presidents.

JFK intended to dismantle the CIA after the Bay of Pigs failure and Operation Northwoods
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods
Journalist James Bamford summarized Operation Northwoods in his April 24, 2001 book Body of Secrets thusly:
Operation Northwoods, which had the written approval of the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere. People would be framed for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer and his cabal the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.

Kennedy said he wanted to "splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the winds."
With executive order 11110, JFK was on his way to putting the Federal Reserve Bank of New York out of business (a good thing!). It would have prevented the national debt from reaching its current level, because it would have given the gevernment the ability to repay its debt without going to the Federal Reserve and being charged interest in order to create the new money. It gave the U.S. the ability to create its own money backed by silver. After JFK assassination, just five months later, no more silver certificates were issued.

Easy to guess why big and influential corporations (the military industrial complex and the federal reserve bank) took ever the government in 1963. That day, the USA's democracy was replaced by corporatism (aka fascism).

Try to guess what W. Bush intend to do to ensure the "military industrial complex" gets even more powerfull the before next election?

Hi Marc,

Thank you very much for your very insightful story again. It's crazy deep… As I read your comment, it seems that I can grasp the system of this world deeply little by little.

As for the "harmonism", I just created. It is just my image of next stage that modern human beings should seek for.

I understand that the goal of both capitalism and communism will be same in the bottom, but it seems that capitalism may be a little better to withdraw people's potential or train people. Observing government officials and organizations in Japan, I strongly feel that communism makes people lazy and corruptive though I actually don't dislike the idea. However, now, the bad and violent parts of capitalism have come up. So, people, leaders in many areas, have to get awaken with humanity sleeping in their good heart. Just ideal.

With regard to CIA, I didn't have almost any knowledge, but reading your comment, I understand that it is not that righteous organization.

And, military industrial complex…Exactly!! And reading your comment about Cuba, I just feel a bit amazed that the basic framework of America, war policy, hasn't changed. If so, 9/11 can be understood, and world may have to observe the coming war in Iran.

Finally, I want to say that those who do not know that human beings cannot bring the visible things when we die should not forget the meaning. I feel that people will not truly get satisfied with even lottery.

True happiness will be in another floor.

The basic framework of american foreign policy is still the same because we still are in "the age of oil".
The usa was the number one oil producer of the world from 1850'up until the 1960's and all his agricultural, insdustrial and military might is built on oil.
In the 1850's they made kerosene from oil to replaced whale oil (because there were running out of whales!) in lamps and now, everything we use has oil in it, food and all.
People don't see the oil in their food because they don't see where herbicide, pesticide and fertilizer comes from.

The average "tv watching" people are out of touch with the real world and cannot see what is coming until it is too late, despite obvious tell-tale signs of PEAK OIL such as this one:

Gas Shortage Leads to Empty Pumps
This gas station in southeastern Sioux Falls running low on supplies.
Story Updated: Jun 16, 2007 at 6:24 PM CDT
By Caitlin Haedicke Watch the video For most of us, rising prices have been the major concern when it comes to gas. But on Friday, it was a different problem plaguing some Sioux Falls drivers. As people pulled up to a gas station is southeast Sioux Falls, they were greeted with signs they didn't expect. Stations out of gas because of a shortage. Gas terminals are empty across South Dakota. From Sioux Falls to Yankton to Sioux City, they are all out. And tankers cannot find anywhere to fill up. "More so this summer it seems and they're saying it's supposed to get worse before it gets better but there's just not enough fuel coming down the pipeline into the delivery system," said BP owner Shane Oien. Some gas stations in town are running low because of this and some are already out. The BP on Marson and Southeast Street ran out of 87 and 89 grades of gasoline Friday because of the shortage. A small amount of premium was still available, but most took one look at the price and looked for a new place to go. "It kind of sucks that it's expensive, but that's what i have to do. I don't have a choice," stated Mackenzie Walsch as she filled her car with premium. Now, gas stations are having to look as far as Nebraska for gas. "Everyday, it's a commodity, so they cant tell you until the morning what they're getting that afternoon," said Oien. This type of problem is what drives the gas prices up. When supply is low and demand is high, gas stations say they have no other choice. Area gas stations were expecting a delivery on Friday night from Nebraska. Thankfully, gas prices are still down 24 cents from where they were last week.

America is completely made from oil.
In the movie "Fahrenheit 911" you can see how the Bush family "is in the same bed" with the Bin Laden family (the family of Osama, a CIA asset, just like the Bush's are in the CIA too) and that the Bin Laden's own 7% of the united states. 7% of the usa is gigantic, and that's just one saudi family. All of the "oil people"own the usa, weither they are named Bin Laden or Rockefeller, they are the puppet masters behind all those political figures and genuinely rule the world.
If you own oil, you own the world.
The military industrial complex use the CIA to overthrow foreign governments, finance and arm opponents group of foreign governments to do "proxy war" to them, and when all else fail, they go to war directly; the CIA is a manipulative and low profile tool that is cheaper than the military to achieve a goal.
When they ran out of oil in the usa after the second world war, they began to get it in the arabic triangle of oil, a triangle that is part of Saudi Arabia, Irak and Iran. As time passed, the usa became gradually more dependant on foreign oil.
In the 50's, they overthrow Mossadegh
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammed_Mossadegh
to control the oil of Iran and lost it in 1979 when they were caught by surprise by the iranian revolution, so they sided with Saddam Hussein's Iraq (proxy war) to overthrow the iranian regime.
At the beginning the usa was in control of all the arabic oil triangle, but the end of the Iran-Iraq was catastrophic because they just controled a third of it (Saudi Arabia), so with clever diplomatie they were able to convince Saddam Hussein that usa would not react his futur overthrow of Kuwait to get rid of war debt, and when the usa reacted, Saddam Hussein was genuinely surprised, the usa got a perfect pretext to invade the triangle of oil and construc military bases there.
But the CIA financed internal proxy war of Shia-Sunni inside Iraq to overthrow Saddam Hussein failed, and again, the military had to physically go there to do what the CIA failed to do by proxy, they created a pretext of "weapons of mass destruction" to manipulate the naive public to get to war to control Iraq's oil. Recent (last years) CIA operations are all failing in Iran and they are running out of time (peak oil), so the military will have have to physically go there to take control of the last third of the arabic triangle of oil.

Hi Marc! Thank you very much for your story as usual. It's much more interesting than normal articles!! Those who visited this blog will find the value in your comment more than my article (grin).

Well, I knew that America went to war in Iraq because of oils, but I never knew such a deep background. That's why many American Citizens finally started to support Democratic Party in order to change what's been going though I don't know how effective it is.

How powerless we are.
